The following scripture makes the point that there is still hope for small people like me: “Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.” (Alma 37:6)
Up until now, I’ve limited my forays into the blogsophere to narration of past exploits. This time, however, I’m going to try something different; I’m going to predict the future. I predict that sometime between Christmas and New Year’s day, I will… post a link… on this blog… that will direct you to a website where you can purchase a book I have written entitled “Small Things- A Collection of Small Stories that Make a Big Point Why Small Things Matter.”
I’ve discovered that the patterns of life God has cut out for us includes small events producing great results. This book summarizes some small things I’m personally aware of, with the hope that it will prompt others to reflect on the small things in their own lives that matter. Christmas is the perfect time to ponder on this pattern, because the whole holiday is founded on a small thing, a baby born in a manger, that brought a great thing to pass; redemption from sin and life everlasting.
There are two reasons why I’m prophesying about this:
- As a benevolent service to those who may naively stumble across “My Mormon Third Eye,” it is a warning giving them time to avoid blatant advertising that will appear next week;
- This project has been languishing on the back of my writing workbench for way too long. This post essentially applies the right amount of peer pressure that will force me to finish up.

We look forward to it!
