I See... When Life is Full of Cookies and Flowers

When I was young, very young, my life was full of cookies and flowers. I would ride my bike down to the creek and pick wildflowers for mom. She would bake us fresh chocolate chip cookies. Life was good.

I've lived a lot of life since then. One mission, one wife, two kids, two jobs, and at least three cars and homes later, my life is still full of cookies and flowers. My son, home from his mission and BYU-Idaho for the summer, has found fulltime work in a local cookie factory. On the weekends he brings home extra fresh cookies for us to nibble on. My senior high school daughter has landed an after-school job at a large florist firm learning all the world has to teach her about taking care of flowers. In the evenings she fills our home with animated stories of dish gardens and odd-colored roses. My son is a baker and my daughter is a flower shop girl.

My life is still full of cookies and flowers. Life is still good.
